Thank you so much for this advice Christian. There were so much good information.

My ex just broke up with me for the second time several months ago and he gave me the exact same reasons as the first time. "I love you, but I'm not in love with you." "I'm just not emotionally in the same place that you are." "I feel like you love me more than I love you." "I just have way too much going on in my life right now and I guess I just don't have enough time for a serious relationship." "I really want us to remain friends because I can't imagine my life without you in it at all." Blah...Blah...Blah...

The first time I could understand a little better; we were only together a few months. But the second time we had been together for almost two years.

It hurt more than I ever imagined a break up could hurt. I did send the emotional pouring out my heart letter to him shortly after the breakup, but it was more for personal therapy than anything. There was no begging for him to come back or the sales pitch on why I am perfect for him; just pretty much laying out the mixed signals he had sent and pointing out why I didn't understand the breakup. Then, I broke off all contact. No more emails, no more contact with his family (all of whom I was very close to); nothing.

Backing off and breaking all communition with him was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life because I love him so much. But as you said, I feel better for it now. I needed the time to heal myself. I feel stronger and more in control of myself now. I feel more emotionally healthy ever day.

I don't know what I will do if he ever comes back around, but one thing is for certain, I won't be as easily persuaded to get back together, even if I am still in love with him.

HaHa...and men say that women are hard to figure out.
