Dear Christian,

I applaud to you straightfarward view of relationships. That saying... when man starts to withdraw... the woman is suppose to focus on herself? Otherwise she is labeled needy, questions her own behaviour... you name it?

How about someone told men that if they do not want to have an interaction with another human being and only expect to have the good times, plus want to solve things by withdrawing, not talking, less of action,... that this might be equally wrong and painfull for their partner? Every human being has moments of "being needy", men do too, and all it takes is to be there for the other person. When is it a turn for a woman to be "needy", we are to suck it up?

If a man is so immature about this, then the best solution is not to get together with any woman. It is the same as when some people get a pet and don`t want to clean after it, get a garden and don`t want to water it, get kids and don`t want to spend energy on them... you get the pic.

How about telling both sexes there should be mutuality? Everyone gets sick, needy, loving, happy, has troubles in life - or his/her mate has troubles, and being there for each other is called relationship.

Both sexes have different set of hormons, not to trivialize this, but let us admit, we do... who wants a woman who is not emotional or a guy who is overly emotional?

I agree with you it is good to focus on oneself as a woman when guy acts out, however, I believe it is equally OK to tell the guy one`s concern instead of keeping mum. That goes for guys as well. Otherwise we end up with two sexes who both withdraw?!
